Kongos @ Summit Music Hall, 3/6/15

I've really liked Kongos since the first time I saw them a couple of years ago at Riot Fest, and when they first announced a Colorado date for their tour, it was the same day as Taking Back Sunday and about two hours away. Then, they announced a second date the same day as frankiero andthe cellabration, which I did not want to miss. Then they announced a third date in Denver the day after, so of course I needed to shoot it, especially since Sir Sly (who I adore) and Colony House were opening for them.

Kongos' lights were AMAZING, but they played in front of a curtain for the first three songs, so I didn't get to shoot much of their lighting setup except from the crowd. Even their front lights were good, though, and I love my photos of them.

I may have gone a little overboard with the amount of photos I took of Sir Sly, but I really love them, so I don't care. Their lighting was a little tricky, but once I got the hang of it, I loved it. Not to mention, they're incredible live.

I felt bad for Colony House because they had zero room to move around, but I still really love my photos. Plus, they had some of the best lighting I've ever seen an opening band have!
