This show was... interesting to say the least. I was really excited to shoot Man Overboard again, because I loved my photos from last year, but right before Colorado's date, Nik Bruzzese had to fly home for a family emergency. Instead of canceling their performance, though, Man Overboard ended up playing an entire Misfits cover set AND IT WAS THE COOLEST THING EVER. I seriously could not stop smiling when I was taking photos. Zac looked so freaking happy to be playing Misfits covers.
The downside for this show, however, was that Man Overboard and Senses Fail had quite possibly some of the worst lighting I've ever seen at Summit Music Hall. I'm talking blue and red (and sometimes green) blacklist with virtually no front lighting. Or when there was front lighting, it was blue or even worse, black lights. Needless to say, I'm not super happy with those photos (though I did cheat and use my flash when Buddy from Senses Fail jumped in the crowd, whoops) but I do love my photos of Bayside! Their lighting was gorgeous and their performance was awesome!
Also, if you're planning on going to this tour for Senses Fail, you're in for a treat. Buddy was probably the craziest I've ever seen him at our show and it was awesome!
I also got the chance to snap a couple of photos of Zac Eisenstein in his Misfits makeup. Those are at the end!
Didn't take a ton, but below are the photos I took of Zac after Man Overboard's cover set. Not gonna lie, watching them cover the Misfits was probably the coolest thing ever.
